Dear Friends,

It is with great regret that I must inform you of the decision of the Board of Directors of the Federation of Private Schools (FEEP) to cancel the International Conference on Private Education which was slated to take place at the Congress Center in Quebec City from August 19th to 22nd 2008.  This decision was reached based on the inability, to date, of reaching the number of participants necessary to ensure the success of such an event. 

 
I would like to thank all those who believed in the feasibility of this project and who invested themselves totally in the planning of this event.  I would also like to thank all our partners who associated themselves, without hesitation, in this venture, and all who accepted to share their expertise in the organization of conferences, round tables and workshops.

The objectives of this Congress to target the sharing of expertise, networking and internationalization remain one of the goals of the Federation.  Therefore, we, at the Federation, will explore different avenues to attain these objectives and, after reflection on the matter, will communicate with the private education establishments in order to establish with them methods of collaboration for the greatest interest of private education.
